My 1950s West Price Hill bungalow has small wood basement windows that are rotting. What replaces them?
A custom-fit vinyl hopper is the standard fix. We take out the rotted wood frame and sill, prep the opening, and set a bottom-hinged vinyl unit sized to the gap. Vinyl doesn't rot or swell in a damp basement wall, so you won't be back to this same repair in another decade.
What is a hopper window?

Do hopper windows keep water out?
