Casement Windows in St. Bernard
Casement windows crank out with one hand and pull tight against the weatherstrip when you close them, which is exactly what the older frame houses around Vine Street and the 45217 hills need. That multi-point lock gives you the tightest air seal of any window style, so the wind coming off the valley stops finding its way in. Call (513) 657-2471.

St. Bernard
Casement Windows for St. Bernard homes
A lot of St. Bernard sits on early-1900s frame homes packed close together, and by now the original wood double-hungs have swollen shut, rotted at the sill, or lost every bit of their seal. Painted-over sashes that won't budge are common here, and the draft comes right through the old weight pockets. When the rope is broken and the glazing is cracked, there's no fixing it back to tight.
Casement windows solve that because the sash swings out on a side hinge and the multi-point lock draws it flat against the weatherstrip, sealing the whole perimeter at once. We build them on a fusion-welded, multi-chamber vinyl frame that won't warp or need repainting, with triple-pane Low-E glass and argon fill to cut the noise from Vine Street and hold the heat. The crank handle means no more fighting a stuck sash, and there's no rope or weight to fail again.
Casement Windows
The Tightest Seal, the Clearest View
When the sash closes, it locks tight against the weatherstrip — which is why casements post some of the lowest air-leakage numbers in the business. They’re ideal over kitchen sinks and anywhere you want a clear, unobstructed view and easy one-hand operation.
Want the bigger picture? Pair it with replacement windows or a new entry door, and ask about rolling it into one 0%-for-24-months project. For efficiency ratings, the Energy Star program is a good reference.
Best air seal
The sash presses shut against the frame — great for windy Ohio Valley exposures.
Unobstructed view
No center rail, so the whole opening is glass.
One-hand operation
A simple crank opens them wide, even over a counter.
Full ventilation
The sash swings fully open to catch a breeze.

Common questions
Casement Windows FAQs
My St. Bernard house is over a hundred years old and nothing is square anymore. Can casements still seal tight?
Yes. We measure each opening individually rather than assuming a standard size, then build the casement to fit the actual framing. Because the multi-point lock pulls the sash into the weatherstrip all the way around, a properly measured casement seals tight even in a settled century home.
Are casement windows better than double-hung?
Neither is “better” — they’re different. Casements seal tighter and give a clearer view; double-hungs offer a classic look and tilt-in cleaning. Many homes use both, matched to each room.
Are casement windows good for kitchens?
They’re a favorite over the sink because the crank operates easily even when you can’t reach across the counter, and the wide opening pulls air through.
Do casements come with screens?
Yes, screens mount on the interior side since the sash swings out. Triple-pane glass and financing options are available on every casement.
