South Lebanon is a growing town on the Little Miami River in Warren County, with a historic core and fast-expanding newer subdivisions. The older homes carry solid front doors with a dim hall behind them, and the newer subdivisions came with builder doors that show at most a small light beside them. Either way the foyer is darker than it should be, and a glass sidelight on each side of the door brings the daylight in.
We add one or two sidelights per door in 45065, with an optional transom above for a taller opening, in clear glass for the most light, decorative leaded glass for the older homes, or obscure privacy glass for the entry. Door Sidelights FAQs
Our newer South Lebanon subdivision door only has a small window. Can you add full sidelights?
Yes. Many builder doors in South Lebanon's subdivisions came with just a small decorative light, and we can widen the opening to set a real sidelight on one or both sides. That brings a lot more daylight into the foyer and gives the entry a more upscale look than the builder version.
Can I add sidelights to my existing door?
Often yes, if there’s room in the opening — it involves some framing, which we assess at the consultation. Sidelights are also easy to include when replacing the entry door.
Will sidelights hurt my privacy or security?
Not with the right glass. Privacy and obscured options block the view, and laminated or reinforced glass keeps security strong while still letting light in.
Do sidelights come with matching glass?
Yes — we match the sidelight glass to any decorative insert in the door for a coordinated look.
Can I add a transom above the door too?
