Given the flood and damp in Cleves, will new double-hung windows hold up better than the old wood?
They will. Our double-hung frames are fusion-welded vinyl that won't rot, swell, or need repainting the way the original wood double-hungs did on low Cleves ground. The multi-chamber frame and triple-pane seal keep wind-driven rain and damp from working in around the sash. It won't stop a true flood, but for the everyday wet of riverside living it is a real step up.
