Both ends of that range were built with double-hung windows, and the taller units in the larger homes need proper balances to keep lifting smoothly at that size. We have tall windows in our Kenwood home. Can a double-hung still lift easily at that size?
Yes, as long as the balances are built for it. Our double-hungs use constant-force balances sized to the sash, so even a tall, heavier window lifts with one hand and holds where you set it. Both sashes tilt in to clean, and we build to your exact opening.
Are double-hung windows energy efficient?
