My Carthage basement window is right next to the sidewalk. Can people still see in with glass block?
No. Glass block passes light but distorts the view, so someone on the sidewalk can't make out what's in your basement. It also seals against the splash and grit that come off a walk, and it's far harder to force than the old sash sitting there now.
