My old slider in a MainStrasse rowhouse sticks and rattles. Can it be fixed or does it need replacing?
Sometimes a track cleanout and new rollers buy you a season, and we'll tell you if that's all it needs. But in these 1800s rowhouses the opening has usually gone out of square, and a new door custom-fit to the frame is what actually seals. We measure first, then give you the straight answer.
Sliding or French patio doors — which should I choose?
Sliding doors save space since nothing swings into the room and maximize glass; French doors make a wider, more dramatic opening. It comes down to your room layout and look — we help you decide.
Are patio doors energy efficient?
Ours are, with Low-E insulated glass, weatherstripping, and a properly sealed threshold. A new patio door usually seals far tighter than the drafty original.
Are sliding patio doors secure?
Yes — we use multi-point locking hardware and tough glass. Sliders can also be fitted with additional locks and sensors for extra peace of mind.
