They will. Our sliding windows use triple-pane Low-E glass with argon between the panes, which knocks down road noise a lot better than the single-pane wood you likely have now. The fusion-welded frame seals tight to the opening, so you get less rattle and fewer drafts along with the quiet.
Are sliding windows energy efficient?
